A one-day course on anaesthesia in developing countries entitled Bridging the Gap will be held at the Royal Society of Medicine, London, on Friday November 5th 2010. The course will include a presentation about the Glostavent ® Anaesthesia System given by Robert Neighbour, Diamedica's Managing Director. The Glostavent ® is purpose designed for use in the harsh and challenging environments found in many developing countries.

The aim of the course is to outline the basics of anaesthetic practice in the Developing World, including hands-on technical demonstrations and workshops. It also acts as an introductory day for those intending to attend the Uganda course.

The more comprehensive five-day course is held in Kampala Uganda, and consists of a variety of lectures, seminars, hospital visits and technical demonstrations. Provisional dates for this course are 6 -11 March 2011.

Diamedica will also be attending the Annual Meeting of the Société d'Anesthésie et de Réanimation d'Afrique Noire Francophone SARANF, 24 - 26 November 2010 in Brazzaville, The Republic of Congo. http://brazza.saranf.net/
