NEWS: Returning to Sierra Leone and Liberia

Publication date: 21 Jul 2009

"It was yet another busy trip," said Richard, who spent over a month setting up and training on two Glostavents in Sierra Leone and returning to hospitals and clinics in Liberia to check up on the Glostavents there.  "Everybody was very welcoming again, which is always good.  It's always good when people welcome you back - you know you must be doing something right!  Getting into Liberia proved a great deal more challenging than the last time I was there as there were no commercial flights and I had to call on the services of a Mercy Ships driver.  He was excellent and, barring the occasional mishap, everything ran as smoothly as could be hoped."  EMERGENCY now have a Glostavent, as does the Connaught in Freetown, to add to the Glostavent purchased by Marie Stopes for their clinic.
