The Kings Village Ghana is a charity development project based in Northern Ghana providing healthcare, education, and community development to the country’s poorest communities. They operate a medical centre offering emergency in-patient care, a full operating theatre and GP services.

The charity has expanded their critical care capacity, and recently procured a Glostavent Helix Anaesthesia machine and a Diamedica Baby CPAP. We are proud that Diamedica’s products, partnered with our virtual training programme is supporting this mission in Northern Ghana.

Following delivery of the equipment, Diamedica swiftly provided a series of tailored virtual training videos with the anaesthesiologists and intensive care specialists at The Kings Village Ghana. The Covid-19 pandemic has imposed reduced travel and restricted face-to-face communications; Diamedica has successfully adapted to new ways of connecting.

Diamedica began the training with demonstrations into the useability and versatility of the Glostavent Helix, all participants found this hugely engaging and informative; “every participant followed Jon well, point by point throughout, from connecting parts, turning on the machine to the point of use on a patient”
Rev. Ben Owusu-Sekyere, Executive Director, King’s Village

Diamedica finished with a thorough presentation of the functionality of the Diamedica baby CPAP, which was well received from the neonatal staff. “The presentation was very well delivered, and all the team appreciated the excellent delivery. With a laptop and a TV screen all the team members were able to see and hear clearly in both sessions which was hugely successful,”
